Don't Go Overboard Buying A New 2011 Laptop
Thousands and thousands of dollars are spent every day on technology products, notably computers and laptops. Although there is valid reasons behind many, many of these purchases it would be far-fetched if I were to say they were all justified. Although I feel people under spending on a new laptop is much worse than those who overspend, there is no reason to do either.
Computers are decreasing in price every day as new ones are being manufactured and shipped. Everyday a newer, better, faster, stronger technology is just one step away from hitting the mainstream market, dropping the prices on what was once "current" computers and laptops. This creates sales, which trick the consumer into buying old technology and thinking they are getting a "good deal". Sometimes they are - but it's safe to say if something is on sale than it's likely outdated technology.
If you are buying new technology, then the trick is finding the perfect price point to match the performance you need. If you only use your computer for checking your email, doing your banking, and talking on IM, then chances are you will not need a quad core laptop to complete your every day computing tasks. If you are someone who needs to play all the latest games, and converts video files often, then you can safe money and gain performance by choosing a desktop computer instead of a more expensive laptop that doesn't have quite the performance the much more efficient desktop computer has.
