Tips For Preventing Your Laptop From Overheating

My laptop is so hot you could fry an egg upon it. Sadly, that's not an ingenious euphemism for "wow, my laptop's unstoppable cos I'm churning out so much work"!

{C}

My laptop really is like Mount Vesuvius, waiting to erupt at any minute!

For previous times month or so, each and every time I put my laptop on my own lap, I were left with scorched thighs, which I can guarantee, isn't a pretty sight! I understand Rod Stewart opined on the virtues of Hot Legs, but that is ridiculous!

I've never really been a 'laptoppy' person until August a year ago, when just before I had been due to whizz off on vacation , my PC chose to have a hairy fit and start spewing blue screens of death at me and other technical unmentionables -arrghh!

So I took the bull from the horns and steamed into my nearest store and grabbed a laptop i always thought looked rather attractive. I understand, attractiveness is not a good criteria to select a laptop on the other hand was pretty desperate also it was just as good as Eeny Meeny Miny Mo!

Now taking a couple of weeks ago, all was well with Lysander the notebook, he was a rather spritely boy i became rather enslaved him. In fact, he encouraged me to get terribly lazy. Who may very well be bothered to fire inside the old PC and sit perched there as winter was approaching, enduring frozen fingers and toes, when Lysander was beckoning me enticingly; positively luring me to jump on the couch, cover my feet having a quilt and flip his enormously attractive lid?

But, suddenly, inexplicably I was thinking, the laptop started to cut out. Black screen... nothing! Bizarre. I could not start him up again he just wouldn't put out.

At first I thought I'd got some of those deadly viruses - blamed Thing 1 and Thing 2 for downloading dodgy games and achieving me infected.

Every day, this may happen more and more. Subject to what I was doing to the `puter, it would just de-activate with no warning. Only was watching a movie I could hear the fan chugging and dealing like a Trojan. Only was running a few programs at a time, woah, the fan was working overtime understanding that thing was heating like a pubescent boy with a Miss World beauty contest.

The mouse pad was growing to be a ceramic hob as well as underneath of the laptop was growing more pyroclastic from the minute giving me not only a sharp crease at my trousers!

Time to hit Google, type in my model name and number and see what happens.

Phew. How comforting. there were tons of people who were all experiencing the same problem as me. It's odd, don't you find it, how you always feel great when you find people that are having the same problems as you - you just don't feel so alone, somehow!!
